It’s traditional to serve pie on Thanksgiving (seriously, it might even be a LAW!). It only makes sense after stuffing yourself with that ginormous holiday meal to (why not?) treat yourselves to a “sliver” of pie. Thanksgiving dinner with a pie – we can all be thankful for that.
I have found that dressing up your pie in it’s prettiest holiday fare impresses just about everyone. And it is SO easy to do. Even if you aren’t a master pie baker, you will look like one! In a pinch, grab a few of the refrigerated roll-out pie crusts. Get out your holiday cookie cutters and do some cut-outs on one of the crusts. You can either place these atop of a 2 crust pie, or use them in lieu of the top crust. Here are a few pretty examples that might inspire you…
