Despite the spring equinox, Lake Tahoe is still dressed in winter white. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a jump on spring cleaning. We have some tips to get you started.
- Declutter and minimize as you clean. Too much stuff can be overwhelming at any time of the year. Take this chance to take stock of your inventory and clear out some space.
- Break it up and create a plan. You don’t have to tackle the whole house at once. Take it room by room and give yourself time to complete that doesn’t feel like a burden. You can take all of spring and a week in between rooms. It’s what works for you.
- Prioritize your tasks. Sometimes starting with the job, you detest the most can make the rest of the work feel easier.
- Now is the time to get into those dark corners. We don’t usually clean the top of the refrigerator on a regular basis, but spring is the time to get rid of the dust bunny buildup.
- It’s good for you! Spring cleaning can get rid of household allergens, make you feel less stressed, and boost your mood.
If you are considering putting your house on the market, spring cleaning can do double duty and up your home’s curb appeal. For more information on Tahoe activities, events, and homes for sale sign up for our Email Alerts.
